Serving Memphis & Beyond

We know these rooms.

Memphis is home. We don't just know music here, we know the venue. We've filled floors across Memphis and the Mid-South, from downtown halls to midtown gardens to farms east of town, and we plan around each room's flow, sound and crowd, down to which song your grandmother needs to hear before she heads home early.

This is our home market. We play weddings in:

Getting married just outside Memphis? Ask, we very likely cover your town.

Memphis is home. One DJ, one wedding, and transparent pricing: your complete number in writing before you sign.

Know The Room

Every Memphis room has its own rules.

The setup that fills a barn in Collierville will echo through a downtown hall. Tell us where you are getting married and we will tell you how we would run that room, before you book anything.

Downtown halls and historic rooms

Hard floors, tall windows and sound that bounces off every surface. The volume that feels right at the booth is punishing by the bar. We set for the room, not for the meter, so your toasts land and your grandmother can still hear the table talk.

Farms and barns east of town

Long rooms, open beams, and a floor that fills from one end. Power and load-in are the real work here, and the dancing lives or dies on where the booth sits. We plan both before the day, in writing.

Midtown gardens and outdoor venues

Ceremony one place, cocktails another, dinner a third, and a sunset nobody wants to miss. Three setups, one timeline, plus a weather call. The flow between spaces is the whole job, and it is the part we map to the minute.

Hotel and country club ballrooms

House rules, house AV, a hard curfew, and a coordinator who has seen everything. We arrive early, we get along with the staff, and we hit the end time without your last song getting cut.

Getting married somewhere not on this list? That is the first question we ask on your call, and the answer changes the plan.

A Memphis Crowd

We know what moves this room.

Stax, Hi, Sun and Royal are all inside the city limits. Memphis did not borrow soul music, it made it. A groove lands early here instead of arriving as a novelty at the end, the line dances are the ones this city actually does, and a room raised on this music feels it inside eight bars. That is the read we plan around. Memphis is home, so we start with your list, not a regional playlist.

Promises, In Writing

The night stays yours.

Trust is fine until the day arrives. These five are in the contract instead, so nothing about the night depends on remembering a conversation from eight months ago.

  • The mic

Ours briefly, yours the rest of the time. We set up the moments and then get out of them.

  • The songs

Your requests get played and your vetoes hold, from the first dance to the last call. No exceptions made for anybody.

  • A moving floor

We watch the room and adjust while it is happening. If a song is not working it does not get four minutes to prove it.

  • Your people

Introductions in your order, toasts in your sequence, and every name pronounced correctly because we asked before the day.

  • Same person

The DJ on your call is the DJ at your reception. That is the whole promise and there is no fine print under it.

◆ The Packed Floor Promise

If your floor sits empty during open dancing, that's on us.

Reading the room and keeping it moving is the whole job, and we plan it like one: a written game plan for your floor, and a written backup plan so nothing can knock your night off course. The biggest worry on your list simply isn't yours anymore. It's ours.

One Date. One Of One.

One couple. One date.

ONE WEDDING PER DATE

Not two. Not three. One.

Your date can hold exactly one wedding, and we take exactly one wedding per date. When it is yours, nobody else is getting it. Great DJs book 9–12 months in advance. Settling it early just moves the decision that shapes your whole reception off your to-do list.

Meet Your DJ

The person on your planning call is the person on the mic.

Hi, I'm DJ Dream. I've spent ten years and countless weddings learning to read a room, and I've been reading Memphis rooms long enough to know that a Collierville barn at ten and a downtown hall at ten are two different nights.

No call center. No rotating roster. No cheese. When you hire a DJ you should know exactly who is showing up, and here it is one person, accountable for your night from the first planning call to the last song, just as invested in your grandmother's request as your first dance.

"A wedding isn't a gig. It's a room full of people who love you, waiting for a reason to get up."

Questions Couples Google

Answered straight.

Will you actually listen to what we want?

It is the whole first half of the job. Your planning call is you talking and us writing: your story, your people, the songs that have to be played and the ones that must never be. The night gets built from your answers instead of a template. If a guest requests something on your banned list, it never reaches the speakers and they never find out why.

How much does a wedding DJ cost in Memphis?

Our packages are $795 for the reception, $995 for cocktail hour and reception, and $1,195 for ceremony, cocktail hour and reception. Every package includes a professional MC. You get your exact, all-in number in writing on your planning call, with nothing added after. See what is in each package.

How far in advance should we book a wedding DJ?

Great DJs book 9 to 12 months in advance, and we only take one wedding per date. If your date matters, check it early. The sooner it's locked, the sooner it's one less thing to plan.

Which Memphis venues do you DJ at?

We've played weddings across Memphis, Germantown, Collierville, Bartlett, Cordova, Arlington and the surrounding Mid-South communities, from downtown halls to midtown gardens to farms east of town. Memphis is home, so there is a good chance we've worked your venue, or one just like it.

Our wedding is in July. How do you handle the heat?

By planning around it instead of hoping. A Memphis July ceremony outdoors means shorter time on your feet in the sun, shade and water for guests who need it, and gear that will not quit at ninety-six degrees. We also keep the first dancing block later than you might expect, because nobody moves in the heat until the room has cooled and everyone has eaten.

Half our guests are coming from Mississippi and Arkansas. Anything to plan for?

Mostly the arrival curve. Guests crossing the state line show up in clusters rather than steadily, and a first dance called on the printed schedule can happen in front of a half-full room. We set the timeline around when people are actually seated, and hold the big moments until the room is worth having them in.

Our families want very different music. Can that work?

It is the most common ask we get here, and it is a sequencing problem, not a compromise. Nobody has to sit through a block they hate waiting for their turn. The songs get placed so the room hands off between groups instead of emptying and refilling, and we agree the order with you in advance rather than guessing on the night.

Do you MC the wedding as well as DJ?

Yes, and it's the same person all night. Announcements, introductions, toast cues, timeline: one voice, zero hand-offs, so your reception never stalls between moments. It's half of what "be a guest at your own wedding" means.

Are we supposed to tip our wedding DJ?

Never expected, always appreciated. $50 to $200 is typical if the night earned it. Honestly? A glowing review and a referral mean even more.
