Every Tri-Cities room has its own rules.
The setup that fills a mountain farm will bounce off every wall of a historic downtown room. Tell us where you are getting married and we will tell you how we would run that room, before you book anything.
Historic downtown rooms
Brick, hardwood and tall ceilings, sound that bounces hard. The volume that feels right at the booth is punishing by the bar. We set for the room, not for the meter, so your toasts land and your grandmother can still hear the table talk.
Mountain farms and barns
Long rooms, open beams, and a floor that fills from one end. Power and load-in are the real work here, and the dancing lives or dies on where the booth sits. We plan both before the day, in writing.
Lakeside and ridge-view estates
Ceremony one place, cocktails another, dinner a third, and a view nobody wants to miss. Three setups, one timeline. The flow between spaces is the whole job, and it is the part we map to the minute.
Hotel and country club ballrooms
House rules, house AV, a hard curfew, and a coordinator who has seen everything. We arrive early, we get along with the staff, and we hit the end time without your last song getting cut.

The Tri-Cities is three downtowns and a state line, so a guest list here is rarely one crowd. Johnson City, Kingsport and Bristol each send their own people, Southwest Virginia sends more, and they arrive in waves rather than all at once. We plan the night around that. What they dance to is yours to choose. Country, hip hop, Motown, Latin, Afrobeats, house, or all of it before midnight, we read the floor in front of us rather than assume a regional sound.

It is the whole first half of the job. Your planning call is you talking and us writing: your story, your people, the songs that have to be played and the ones that must never be. The night gets built from your answers instead of a template. If a guest requests something on your banned list, it never reaches the speakers and they never find out why.
How much does a wedding DJ cost in Tri-Cities?
Our packages are $795 for the reception, $995 for cocktail hour and reception, and $1,195 for ceremony, cocktail hour and reception. Every package includes a professional MC. You get your exact, all-in number in writing on your planning call, with nothing added after. See what is in each package.
How far in advance should we book a wedding DJ?
Great DJs book 9 to 12 months in advance, and we only take one wedding per date. If your date matters, check it early. The sooner it's locked, the sooner it's one less thing to plan.
Which Tri-Cities venues do you DJ at?
We've played weddings across Johnson City, Kingsport, Bristol, Jonesborough, Elizabethton and the surrounding Northeast Tennessee communities, from historic downtown rooms to mountain farms to lakeside estates. Good chance we've worked your venue, or one just like it.
Our ceremony is on a farm with no power nearby. Is that a problem?
No, but it needs planning rather than an extension cord found on the day. Ceremony spots on Northeast Tennessee farms are often a long way from an outlet, and wind takes a lapel microphone apart faster than anything else outdoors. We bring battery power and wind protection, and we walk the site in advance so nobody is improvising while you are walking down the aisle.
Our guests are spread across three cities. How does that affect timing?
Guests coming from Bristol to a Johnson City venue, or the reverse, arrive in waves rather than together. The printed timeline says the first dance is at seven and half the room is still on I-26. We set the schedule around when people are genuinely seated, so the moments you will look back on do not happen in front of empty tables.
Our venue has a hard cutoff. How do you handle that?
We plan backward from it. A lot of venues here stop music at ten or eleven, and the difference between a great ending and an abrupt one is whether the last forty minutes were designed or improvised. We choose the closer with you in advance and protect the time it needs, so the night ends on your song instead of on a light switch.
Do you MC the wedding as well as DJ?
Yes, and it's the same person all night. Announcements, introductions, toast cues, timeline: one voice, zero hand-offs, so your reception never stalls between moments. It's half of what "be a guest at your own wedding" means.
Are we supposed to tip our wedding DJ?
Never expected, always appreciated. $50 to $200 is typical if the night earned it. Honestly? A glowing review and a referral mean even more.
